Miss Sassy!-Sass Fit Australia

Every once in a while you meet some interesting people, while sitting in my friends lovely hairdressing salon waiting for my color to process I had the pleasure of meeting Mel. She wasn’t hard to miss with her bright blonde hair, which was cropped short she instantly reminded me of Pink the singer. She was so friendly that I couldn’t help but strike up a conversation with her. From the word get go Mel was so easy to talk to very sweet and super friendly. I couldn’t help myself I had to tell her she reminded me of Pink lol I mean who doesn’t love Pink! She laughed at me and said her nickname was Miss Sassy! I certainly could see that I mean she had so much pizzazz about her that Miss Sassy fit perfectly.

While chatting with Mel I discovered Miss Sassy was a name given to her, as she was the founder of her company Sass Fit Australia.

She designs uber cool gym gear that is not only funky and unique but also comfortable and functional. Mel’s inspiration came from all her years of playing Hockey where her team won gold in the 2012 Pan Pacs, from this point on Mel decided that she was going to start training hard and be the best that she could be. While doing massive training sessions Mel discovered the gym gear was so uncomfortable and didn’t quite fit right, not to mention all gym gear looked the same.

We all know what it’s like being placed in all sorts of awkward positions when working out. Yes we’ve all been there haven’t we? There’s nothing worse than wearing ill fitting gym gear when placed into compromising positions squatting, sit up and pull ups. These are the exact problems that got Mel thinking she had to do something, if she was practically going to live in her gym gear then she had to come up with an idea to make it more comfortable, durable and just fabulous!

When I asked Mel what actually gave her the confidence to get out there and start her own company, she told me that one of her friends fell ill with cancer and sadly passed away, Mel recalls having a conversation about what she really wanted to do in life, that got Mel pondering on starting her own business and with the words of her dear friend “you only live once do what makes you happy “ and with the support of her family and friends she started her awesome business.

Not only did she come up with awesome designs that you pretty much won’t find anywhere else but she also designed her Hockey teams jerseys and had the pleasure of designing The Australia Roller Derby’s team jerseys they came third in the world! It makes me think if you’re dressed to impress you can conquer anything!

In our conversation Mel discovered I was a fashion blogger and asked me to do a write up on her story and graciously sent me a pair of her sass fit compressions, which I must say I absolutely love! I can put my hand on my heart and say that they are the best compression tights I have ever worn. They are so comfortable and have just the right amount of stretch in them and the quality is amazing they wash up brand new every time. Most gym gear I have worn pretty much starts to stretch out and become worn out only a couple months into wearing them.

I get sent a lot of different products but Sass fit’s compressions are my favorite so far I love it when a product is as good as it’s promoted they are worth every penny! The best thing about the Sass Fit Brand is that you won’t find gym gear like this anywhere else, the designs are so unique and fun that every time I put mine on I feel fabulous and they certainly get a lot of attention from people, I even get stopped and asked “where did you get them from”
